a star atlas of the noble lineage

سلسلة النسب النبوي

The lineage, traced as a constellation

The brightest stars of our sky still carry Arabic names, given by the astronomers of the Muslim golden age. Here the lineage itself becomes a constellation: forty-three links descending the heavens from Adam (A.S.) to the Seal of the Prophets ﷺ — then branching into the cluster of the Ahl al-Bayt. Select any star to open its record.

From Adam to Isma'il

من آدم إلى إسماعيل

Twenty-one generations preserved largely through earlier scripture — Ibn Kathir records this chain in al-Bidayah wa'l-Nihayah, noting that names and their count vary between accounts.

Uncharted

Between Isma'il and Adnan

A region of the sky left deliberately unmapped: the generations exist by consensus, but their names were not reliably preserved — the Prophet ﷺ is reported to have stopped at Adnan.
